Tierra Mexi-Cali Grill – Wilmington, DE
Background: The client wanted to fully renovate a children’s shoe store into a casual mexi-cali restaurant.
Objective: To create a contemporary space with an industrial-retro feel.
Client Interview: The client needed our services for full range design; from space planning to material selection and custom detailing.
Details: Designer assisted client with furniture layouts and selections, including custom designed booth seating; flooring and countertops; lighting selection and placement; and applications for ceiling and walls with acoustical properties, as well as the paint colors and artwork. New tile, lights, and vanities were introduced to update the look of the bathrooms. Designer handled product purchasing and helped oversee work in progress to ensure satisfactory and timely completion.
Result: A visually stimulating, yet relaxing atmosphere that attracts a range of customers to the restaurant. Decorative lighting draws attention in from the shopping center parking lot. The layout allows for easy circulation, and maximizes seating without compromising privacy or comfort. The polished concrete floor, vinyl upholstery, tiled walls, and quartz countertops provide both durability and aesthetic appeal. A simple design for the menu boards keeps the line moving smoothly on busy days.
